Neal J. Berkowitz, M.D.
What made you decide to become a doctor?
My grandmother told me to!
What is your philosophy of caring for patients?
My philosophy is that people should have a good time when they come to the doctor. My style is laid back using a sense of humor.
What is the most enjoyable part of your day?
The relationships I have with my patients make my job very enjoyable. I have been seeing some of my patients more than 20 years.
How has your practice changed?
Electronic medical records have greatly improved the care I can give to my patients as well as my ability to access information.
What defines you as a doctor or as a person?
As a physician and as a person, I try to do the right thing. It is not always easy.
What do you do in your spare time?
I work to keep myself physically and emotionally healthy so I am best prepared to do my job. I also nurture relationships, especially family.
